I definitively need SIG Pro's features, but first wanted to test with SIG to check for issues and compatibility. (Wrong!)
I've had a lot of trouble with SIG. Modules nor content didn't display the gallery, but just the code.
I disabled all non-core plugins, modules and components, except ZOO component and mod_jw_cc (recommended by joomlaworks to write code in a module). No solution, still displayed the code and no gallery.
Then, I added a new menu with an empty frontpage and assigned the Jw_cc module with the gallery code to that menu. Then it worked, I could see the gallery for the first time!
But happiness didn't last too much:
After adding an empty article, the module stopped displaying the gallery, just the code. Unpublished the article and the gallery came back.
Looks like SIG doesn't like company. To check if SIG likes itself, I added another jw_cc module with {gallery} code:
Woops! the new module showed the gallery, but the first one just the code.
Looks like, at least in my case, SIG doesn't like company, not even itself.
After many days struggling with SIG, testing other galleries (all of them), and asking for help at the forum, I decided to give a chance to SIG PRO.
All problems vanished. It works perfectly, even after activating all kind of plugins, adding many modules and content with {gallery} code. I have been trying to make it fail and it doesn't.
I have no relation to JW, this is not advertising. I just write this because I would have liked to have read this post one week ago.
