Error 500 was created by Moonstone
I've used this module for a couple years now.  And while it's always been a little quirky and disappointed me that it greatly slowed down the load time on my site, it gave me the visual display that I wanted.

Recently, out of the blue (without making any updates or changes), it crippled my site.  The front page refused to load, and returned an error 500.  I've tried troubleshooting for the past couple weeks - clearing the cache and disabling other modules - but the only thing that would allow the site to load was disabling Simple RSS Feed.

I'm afraid it seems this module still needs some work.  Until then, I'm forced to find something else.

HI Moonstone,

I am by no means an expert, but I had a few thoughts. I am curious .. did the problems start to happen when you installed an update or other module? If there was no change in the website on your part, I thought that maybe your host changed something that manages the site... just a thought.

I noticed that on one site I have (This module works beautifully on it) It is a little slow to load the site, but I am aware that the more Feeds it must check (ie.. those in your read list) the slower it will be. I dont think there would be anyway around this no matter what reader you use as they would all have to perform the same task prior to loading the page.

Let me know if you find another application that work for you. I am having some problems with this extension on one of my sites and may have to use another also.

I know this post is old, but I wish you luck anyway.

Tim
