Hi,

I'm using Simple Feed Reader on the home page of www.enfieldgreens.org.uk/joomla in the module called National Green Party News. It was working fine until yesterday, but has not worked today. I get the error Failed to load xml file, sometimes also JFile: :read: Unable to open file

The feed is greenparty.org.uk/news.atom.xml which redirects to www.greenparty.org.uk/news2.rss?preview=true. The first line of the feed source is

<rss href="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" version="2.0">

I checked the feed using the W3C validator and it found a number of errors. However, I have a copy of the website running on XAMMP with the same feed on the home page, and that is working and showing the new content added to the feed today.

If the file is cached in your local env then the issue will not be present.
Try clearing Joomla!'s cache to enforce a new fetch, although a problematic feed will most likely cause issues.
Personally I use feedburner to ensure that all my feeds are valid.
