Hello and thank you very much for your extension gifts.

Testing the feed www.tribunnews.com/rss using w3.org, the result is VALID. Please click the link below to see:

validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tribunnews.com%2Frss

However I receive the following message from JW RSS extension:

"Message
Failed loading XML... attributes construct error Couldn't find end of Start Tag rss line 1 Extra content at the end of the document
"

Regards

Perhaps it was a temp issue as the feed seems OK. Clear your site's cache just in case.

If the problem persists, let me know.

Just did:

1. Check of www.tribunnews.com/rss. Works, plus W3.org ssys it is valid.

2. Cleared Cache in Joomla.

"Message
All cache group(s) have been cleared."

Also cleared Firefox cache

3. Tried again but got the same error:

"Message
Failed loading XML... attributes construct error Couldn't find end of Start Tag rss line 1 Extra content at the end of the document"

Note: Module is the latest: 3.7.0

Best wishes

The feed is indeed valid, but because it breaks some attributes in the 2nd line to multiple lines, the module's feed compressor would concatenate these lines producing an XML tag that didn't make sense.

I have corrected the compressor and also improved support for PHP 7.4.

You can get version 3.8.0 of Simple RSS Feed Reader now from github.com/joomlaworks/simple-rss-feed-reader/archive/master.zip and tomorrow I'll release it officially.
