Hi all - I just installed the RSS Feed module and set the 'Total Items' to display to '5', but only one item is displayed in the module on the front end.

I couldn't find this issues here in the forums. Does anyone has a clue what's going wrong?

This is happening to me but it's also weird; Using my joomla syndicate link Simple RSS is only retrieving one feed, but i used tech crunch RSS URL to test it out and it retrieves as many as i require. What can I do to get this fixed?

In Addition:

I added 5 articles to the category which is being syndicated, then Simple RSS started outputting more than one feed. Is this a bug in the module with the way Joomla outputs the rss?

I too have the same problem. I've set it for 20 and only one item (the last) is being displayed on the front end.

At the moment I have it as a test site at jobangels.zonegigdesign.com. I have 4 tabs set up on the front page with each tab being Simple RSS Feed Reader (4 instances). CNN, WSJ and NYT work correctly. However, I have not been able to get the SmartBrief RSS feed to work correctly.

I took the SmartBrief feed and put in Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook and the feeds download correctly. But, for some reason there is an issue interfacing with SmartBrief and Simple RSS Feed Reader.

Did you try change SmartBrief feeds to feeds from another site?

Please see my note that CNN, WSJ and NYT work correctly. The only one with issues is the SmartBrief feed. I am in contact with the technical team at SmartBrief. Their side is written in JSP and they are reviewing their code, but I was trying to help them out to see why it works with a standard RSS reader in MS Outlook, MS Entourage on MAC or Apple Mail but does not work with the JoomlaWorks module.

What I am trying to understand, is if there is a memory size issue... That is why I have asked you to change the specific feed with another, to see if it works...

Katia, I must not be understanding your question. If you look at the front page of jobangles.zonegigdesign.com you will see that I have 4 feeds running now live. WSJ, NYT and CNN all are working correctly now. The only one not working is SmartBrief.

All 4 are set exactly the same (4 instances of Simple RSS Feed Reader) as far as configuration. I am not sure what memory would have to do with it as 3 are running live now and working correctly.

Would you like me to turn 3 off and just run one instance. I had that configured before. It does not matter whether one is enabled or multiple is enabled, I get the same result.

I really appreciate the assistance in getting to the bottom of the issue.

If you add only the feed from SmartBrief do you have problem?
