change style.css version was created by Szymon Pluta
Hi.

In my template I changed social connect module styles by creating a override. I can add styles inside template but I can't update name or version, so users will not going to see my updates.

Is there a way to change this file version or name? Or should I create empty file and load mys styles inside theme css?

Thanks,
Szymon

Hello Szymon,
Since you used overrides there is no need whatsoever to change the extension's versioning.
When you update the extension will NOT lose your edits or your new templates.

Hi Krikor,
I know that and I did't mean that.
I created some additinal styles for module and added them inside this module css override file. But if I change it again, this new changes will be available only to new users or to anyone that force refresh or clear history. I want to avoid that and update css version number. Currently this file has 1.8.1 but I want to update version or to change it's name.

Thanks.
Szymon

Hmmm, This is tricky if you are behind a CDN,
The styles are being loaded in components/com_socialconnect/helpers/socialconnect.php
lines 147 & 151 (for the modules)
Make sure to keep a backup of this file before you edit it.
