I too had no language file, and as it looks, there should be a plg_k2_userExtendedFields.ini file. Not in my install file anywhere. Hmm?

I have the en-GB.plg_k2_userExtendedFields.ini file in my language folder it just doesn't read it...

Maybe the issue for someone could be accorded to the file userExtendedFields.php

at line 26:

JPlugin::loadLanguage('plg_k2_'.$this->pluginName, JPATH_ADMINISTRATOR);

it seems that's something wrong here...

Has this been addressed yet?? Anyone? Anyone? hehe. No but seriously. It would be so awesome for this to be fixed as I am having the same issue no matter what I do.

Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I got the hack to work.

This should probably be looked at for next official release though.

Thanks for a great module and component though... K2 rocks!!!!

I have the same problem, what is the hack. I copied language defs into the language dirs but still no translations. What is the work around? Thanks.

After further reading I see where the plg definitions were copied into the K2.ini file. I have the language definitions but they are not read by the system so I copied the contents of the user extended fields .ini file into the K2.ini and it now works ok.

Thanks.

I give up!
I have used 6 hours trying to find out myself, since K2 or JoomlaWorks is not responding on this.

I can manage to get Yaksushi fix to work in backend, but not in frontend.

I go write in the /userExtendedFields/tmpl/default.php file directly now. Can't use anymore time on this.
I will have no language support for this plugin then. For now thats OK.

Hope to hear from developers!

Henrik

I added the following to the en-GB.com_k2.ini file
