This topic is more than 1 year old, i dont think you have same problem as others.

I disabled SEF and URL rewriting, but still no change.

I have one site that I have had this issue with for a year.
Creating content works, but as soon as it is saved, it does not appear.
Simply no items or categories are displayed unless they are created with language type of ALL.
K2 Content Filter does nothing.
The items and categories appear on the front of the site and in the DB of course.
Try to create a new menu link to K2 content and they are not displayed so they can not be selected.
This appears to be purely a backend issue.
Joomla articles and categories are unaffected and displays all content.

The site is a multilanguage site, following Joomla protocol in multilanguage setup.

I have never seen this on any other site, but have seen many many reports and no real conclusive fix for it.
A lot of talk of browser compatibility, which I have never conclusively proven, use of Admin Tools which when disabled they appeared, but this has not worked for me.
Turn of SEF no fix.
Clear Joomla cache, hard clear browser cache, no fix.
Use admin tools to clear temp directories.
Disable K2 josetta plugins, no fix (Josetta not installed)
Disable language filter, no fix.

A little workaround if you need to edit an existing item.
If you have an existing menu link, then edit it.
In the link field, find the item ID.
In K2 Item manager, if you have an item listed, click to edit, then change that item ID to the one you found in the menu link.
Same process for categories, it is a bit clunky, but works if you do need to edit in backend.

I will post some further test information in due course.

Seen this with 2.6.6 and 2.6.7

I dont know why, but my thoughts go directly to some wrong line in .htaccess file.

To whom it may concern,

This problem is caused by the language set up in Joomla 2.5/3.0.
When using the built translation/language options of Joomla items and categories may disappear in K2.
If you set the categories/items to language ALL the will appear as normal.

I think this is may be a problem of K2, but it could easily be a problem with Joomla as well.

Hello,

Thank you very much, that indeed solves (kind off, at least for now) the problem.
Is there any progress ? Where should we look for the problem ?

Thank you !

Best Regards

I actually noticed that K2 language filter it's not working at all, which indeed it's causing the problem in my opinion !

Now if we solve the language filter we will solve the disappearing items and categories issue !

Any ideas ?

When I choose "All" from the language filter, it simply refreshes the page and does not actually choose that filter. Any other ideas for a workaround?
