I just checked permissions on /media/....
each folder on the path has 0755 permissions
2 strange things.
1) There are two K2 folders under media
/media/K2 (empty)
/media/k2 (has all the galleries I've uploaded to date)
2)
ogdencityarts.dataz.com/contact.html
The gallery on this link is created by me and SIG by hand, but it IS one of the galleries that I uploaded using K2. I just changed SIG default path and then tried to access it that way, but they are image from a k2 gallery upload. I'm thinking that this indicates something other than permissions?
So, when I upload a zip of images it gets there. I just don't see it from admin preview or from front end either.
Thanks

I just checked the database and it looks like the gallery code is in the database. {gallery}1{/gallery}
so the database has the correct gallery code, the files are on the server in the correct folders. SIG test ok for images that were uploaded from k2 admin side
but the gallery code is not appearing in the item view
does this still sound like permissions?

PROBLEM: Gallery Tags are not getting inserted into item content.
*Looks like permissions are OK,
*Looks like the images ARE on the server,
*SIG can load K2 gallery from a standalone call on regular joomla article,
*gallery tags ARE in the mysql tables, pointing at the correct gallery.
This is my item view page output. No gallery tags inserted at all. However they are in the mysql tables!

There does seem to be a few irritating niggles on this version, gallery not showing, content item titles not linkable etc.

I'm not getting gallery tags in my content, but they are in the database. For every gallery I have uploaded the tags are in the db, and so are the images in the /media/k2 folder
I also do not have clickable title tags, but don't see any params for that either so not sure if that is a feature of K2 although I thought I clicked a title early on. Not sure if this is related but it would be nice to solve that next!! :)

Not sure who you were replying to but I'm using SIG Pro v2.0.4 for Joomla! 1.5.x. Joomla 1.5.11
you can see that from the code snippets I've posted.

The calendar is a "spud" coming from an external calendar system called Trumba. All Ogden City Organizations have bought into and use Trumba.

Does this change if we change the default images folder in our joomla! configuration?

SIG Pro v2.0.4 with folder set to /media/k2/galleries/, Joomla 1.5.14, JCE Editor,
All folder permissions are 755
Images are properly uploaded to a folder called /4/Item Name-Here
All I can think of is that having spaces in the item name may be causing the issue, or perhaps JCE editor clash.

Then I realised that I'd has this problem with another Joomla Gallery - the answer is to hilight all the images in the folder and zip them! When you zip the folder itself the pathway is wrong. The gallery images should be directly in the folder which K2 creates, in this case /4/, and not /4/folder-name...
All the image show fine now!

The only issue I had at first was that I could not click on the tabs to upload a gallery. This was fixed by going to the plugin and choosing "slimbox (powered by mootools)" instead of the default "slimbox2 (powered by Jquery). One other site I was installing k2 has issues but I checked the php version and it was using 4.xxx I upgraded to 5.xxx and that worked fine. I think that sometimes we need to look outside of K2 to fix the issues we could be having with K2 because it is just a piece of the Joomla puzzle and they all have to cooperate with each other to work. I hope this points someone on the right direction of getting their problems solved.
Belinda Francis said:The locked tabs have magically unlocked so I was able to upload a new zip file. The gallery takes its name from the name of the zipped folder.
