No CSS on K2 item view when logged-in! was created by Brandon G. Little
I recently installed and began using K2 on one of my websites, Backslash Online. I thought everything was great, until I attempted to view an Item as a logged-in user. For some reason, the CSS style does not render, but only in ITEM view (Category view is just fine), and only as a LOGGED-IN user (the CSS renders perfectly when viewing an Item as a Guest).

Any idea what's causing this?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. Can you please provide some more info? What's the group of the user you are logging in? Also check that the K2 CSS files are loaded.

Have tried as both Registered user and Site Owner... Same result. K2 CSS files are fine and load properly on all pages except Item View (template CSS also does not load in Item View) and only when logged in to the site (CSS loads just fine for Guests in Item View)

Hi again. This is very strange. I guess that an other CSS file overrides some of K2 CSS code. Are you completely sure that the CSS files of K2 are NOT loaded by the browser?

Yes. There is no CSS styling of any kind. Create an account on the site and see for yourself.

How do I fix it??!

Here is the page source code for the site when rendered properly (viewed as a guest):

[the code won't display on these forums.... go to the page and see it straight from the source... ITEM]

...and then it continues on with the rest of the article...

And here is the page source for the same page when viewed as a registered user (CSS does not render):

[the code won't display on these forums.... go to the page, create your own user login and see it straight from the source... ITEM]

OK i logged in and the site seems to work fine. I have the same output as a guest. Also code seems fine in both cases. So what's the problem?

Hmmm... Could it just be me and my computer???? Truthfully, I'd be relieved, as my primary concern is how everyone else views the site, but... What might cause that?? Some kinda malware?? And why just on K2 items??

What browser are you using? I'm on Firefox.

Well, I just tried it on some other browsers....

Google Chrome had the same result as Firefox -- Guest view is fine, but Logged-In vew had no CSS.

And Internet Explorer would not even load. It starts loading the page, and seems to be doing just fine, and then gives me a message that "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site at www.backslashonline.com/. Operation aborted". I click "OK" (my only option), and it takes me to the standard IE error page.

I'm going to go try it out on some other computers..............
