What If I want all members to be able to submit items without someone on the backend having to add them to the user group? Is this possible?

Is there a way to hide the login menu?

 

What I would like to do is for people to click on a "login link" and that would take them to a login page...

This way the login menu wouldn't be on every page.

 

The way I currently set it up was:

I first create an "uncategorized category"

Then I created an item called "login".

I assigned the article to a menu in the menu manager

Then I assigned the k2 login module to that "login" page.

 

It works ok but I was wondering if there was a cleaner/better way to do it?

This thread was very helpful.  However, it seems like there should also be a way to add a Joomla menu item for this type of functionality.  The login module is generally very good, but I'd also like a way to add Joomla menu items for authoring and publishing K2 articles.

 

Basically, I had the same problem as a few other people in this thread.  The first thing I looked for was a "Submit Article" Joomla menu item and it doesn't exist.
