This tweak presented here definitely give real K2 Item URL in source code. So it is easy for spiders to index Items.

But if you C/P those URL´s in browser you get an Item without menu, modules and navigations.

And so will be almost your whole site indexed.

I wouldn´t advice using Iframes for K2 Items. For some fancy secondary things is OK.

This tweak with Items in modal box can work well.

Spiderf find real (full) URL´s, follow and index them. (need to be checked if Google doesn´t threat "iframe" still as extern domain. Because of that i said you need to read more new information, not something back in 2003-2005)

And you need to find at Joomla forum if is it possible (with .htaccess, some ad to this code in tweak, or with robots.txt) force spiders to disregard that "&tmpl=component" at the eend of URL´s.

If it is possible then you have real indexing, Items as it would be without popup, with navigation, menu, modules, etc...

If someone find your site at Google, click on it and land in Item as it is in modal box. Then there it ends. You lose a viisitors, because he/she cannot go nowhere else in your site.

Yes, this one. I tested it works. Took me 5-10 minutes.

Some few classes needs to be fixed manually.

Maybe some explanation. When you follow info from that link, copy some code in that file, paste it under and put a path to your K2 CSS (default CSS, or template override CSS). Don´t delete rest.

It is easy. Just copy one existing code in component.php for CSS. Paste it uder this code and change path in link to point to yur K2 CSS file.
