I enabled Tag Normalization, then added "New Tag"

When I went add it to an item, the auto complete tag was lowercase, even though I saved it as Capital Case.

When viewed from the frontend it displays as...

domain.com/view/tag/new%20tag

This is how it should be displayed. Any non valid URL characters should be URL encoded in order to work. If you don't want URL encoded characters in your tags URLs you need to ensure that your tags do not contain spaces, dots and other characters that are not valid for URLs. Note that in the upcoming version 3 of K2 tags have an alias so there should be no such issues.

I did that and it did not have any effect.

The tag alias portion of the URL has spaces instead of hyphens and the characters are not all lowercase.

Also, what does "Tag character case" do, there is no tooltip to describe it.

Also, is there a way to create hidden menu named "tag" and then do the trick of creating a K2 category menu item with selecting any categories...then remove the "/tag" prefix portion of the url that K2 automatically to all tag URLs?

I tried deleting "tag" under the Advanced SEF Parameter, but it replaces it with "tag" as a default.

Also, the title and breadcrumbs displays the tag in lowercase (even though the tag was saved as Title Case)

I do not really understand the question since you already pointed out the trick. The only different thing I would do is to leave that menu item blank instead of selecting all categories.
