Language packs don't work anymore

Language packs don't work anymore was created by Conversal

Hi,

Since updating K2, we notice the language packs don't work anymore.

We tried installing dutch (Belgium) and dutch (Netherlands) but the backend stays in english. How can we fix this?

The dutch package seems to be correct - jmp.sh/2ZSQsyx - , sometimes the translation service can serve cached files, can you try downloading the package again?

I made a brand new installation with Joomla 3.8.1 (with Italian language) and K2 2.8 and the Italian language pack does not works.
It was working with Joomla 3.7.5

Did you download the package from getk2.org/extend/translations or use an existing older one?

I think I found the problem.
The line containing the following code, is causing the problem:

\\"_QQ_"CATEGORY_NAME_HERE\\"_QQ_"

Comment the line or delete them and the .ini files will be loaded en works!

There are probably more than one line!

At the end, I found the problem for the Italian translation on the administrator side for the file it-IT.com_k2.ini.
There were many items that were commented and not translated.
Moreover, I found 11 duplicates.
I almost completed the translation and I removed all duplicates.
If you like to get the file, let me know where to send it.

Hiya over here!

Just to let you know that the backend of the K2 .ini file of nl-NL.com_k2.ini in administrator/language has still the got the

\\"_QQ_"CATEGORY_NAME_HERE\\"_QQ_"

code in it and needs to be removed or else you don't see the correct Dutch (nl-NL) language...

I removed all line, I was able to find, but it still doesn't work.
I even removed the English file and replaced it by the German one and it still get the English text from somewhere...

I didn't change the file permission, so I don't know.
Language Pack for Joomla: 3.8.5.1
Language Pack for K2: 2.5.0
