Thanks for the fast reply. I have set the permissions correctly but here is what i get under the FPSS Information tab.

do you know how I can enable the GD Image library ?

The query is not coming from K2 ( it's not present at K2 2.6.1). Probably other extensions are causing this. Search for K2 related extensions and try to disable them.

Hello,

Last month I bought K2mart 2.0.2 and Simple Image Gallery Pro and have started to design an online shop.

I can't find information in documentation or forums, so I need your
help, please!

The website is running under the following software:
Apache 2.2.22
MySQL 5.0.92-50-log
PHP 5.2.17
Joomla 2.5.7
K2 2.5.7 (latest version 2.6.1 throws an error in product pages)
K2mart 2.0.2
Virtuemart 2.0.10f
Simple Image Gallery Pro (by JoomlaWorks) 2.5.8
XMap 2.2.1
Maximenu CK and more...

I have many tags consisted by 2 or even 3 words, but K2 generates me
SEF addresses with whitespaces in them. How could I swap these spaces
with dashes?

Example:
new.simoco-sport.com/обувки/мъжки/маратонки/itemlist/tag/Grand Attack.html

It should be:
new.simoco-sport.com/обувки/мъжки/маратонки/itemlist/tag/Grand_Attack.html

Hi. Ensure that the table prefix is the correct one ( check this under Joomla! configuration).

Hello,

I'm trying to update my site so i created from scratch afresh. I exported my old database to the new one i'm using for the new site installation.

All other components work well except for K2 Blog. it keeps giving me SQL syntax errors. eg:
"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '20,26,137,34,35,130' at line 1 SQL=SELECT ordering AS value, title AS text FROM husrm_k2_items WHERE catid=16,20,26,137,34,35,130"

Any help o resolve this please as it doesnt allow k2 to work well on the new site.

Hello,

it's my first article over here and i wanted to describe how to upgrade your (Powered by k2 ) website
and i already tried this method in a joomla website which have more than 20,000 article in k2 items and it succeed well. so let's go.

* THIS IS A MANUAL WAY TO UPGRADE YOUR K2 COMPONENT AND WE WILL USE MYSQL QUERIES
* REQUIREMENTS:
1)AKEEBA BACKUP [ Download ]

2)ADMIN TOOLS [ Download ]

3)ADMINER 3.6.1 [ Download ]

4)FRESH COPY OF JOOMLA 2.5.7 [ Download ]
5) A CUP OF TEA WILL HELP YOU ;)

* YOU DON'T NEED SO MUCH PROGRAMMING SKILLS TO APPLY THIS TO YOUR SITE BUT I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO BACKUP YOUR DATABASE AND FILES USING AKEEBA BACKUP AND STAY AWAKE WHILE THE UPGRADE PROCESS.

Firstly : i like to describe the condition
Now you have your old website usually it's a joomla 1.5.25 please upgrade if older
1) go to your old site administrator area and install akeeba backup and admintools via [install/unistall]
2) backup your site using akeeba backup
3) go to [components / admin tools / Database table prefix editor]
4) in the New prefix field write any 3 or 4 digits ( numbers or letters or both ) ends with underscore _ and remember it for example i will use ( os25_ )

5) Create a new empty database using the same username of the old database
6) Go to your website's root directory and create a folder named for example [ Upgraded ]
7) install your fresh copy of joomla 2.5.7 into this directory using database in step [ 1 ] and while installation you will be notified what the New prefix for the new site is, so change it to be the same like your old site.
8) then install k2 component in the fresh copy of joomla.
9) inside the [Upgraded] directory create another directory called [adminer] and upload the adminer files after extracting it from the downloaded archive.
10) access the [adminer] script and you will find it at ( http:www.yoursite.com/Upgraded/adminer ) and enter you [database name,username and password].
11) after successful login you will see in the left area of the adminer script a drop down list contains your databases the old and the new one [this is at least] but ( you may see other databases... just ignore ).
12) choose the new one and select all k2 tables and drop them i]select tables and scroll to the bottom of the page to find a drop button[/i.
13) go to your old database and select all k2 tables and scroll down to find a copy command
- select your new database and press copy.
14) open to your new database ( also using adminer ) and press ( SQL command ) in the left area.
15) you will see a big text area put these command lines below and press execute ( one command line per time )

* Attention
- OLD_ID is the id of the user from the old site ( this may be more than one if so repeat this line for each user ) you can find it in the old site's [user manager] in administrator area.
- NEW_ID is the id of the user from the new site ( this the new fresh site super admin's id ) you can find it in the new fresh site's [user manager] in administrator area too.
- PREFIX is the PREFIX of the tables of the new site it is the same like old as we said.

 I'd like to translate my extra fields with Falang (I think it is practicly the same as with joomfish).
 How to I do this? I imagin I have to modify k2_items_xml - file, right?
 
 Or do I have to create a extra xml-file. I wonder how it works with several Extra Fields Groups.

  Hi all!
 I'm new to this system.
 I had correctly installed it on joomla webspace but when i try to create a new category (the first) i had this error: Table 'gruppobovolone.pvpcz_finder_types' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT `id` FROM `pvpcz_finder_types` WHERE `title` = 'K2 Item'
 seems that miss a table called pvpcz_finder_types.
 How i can fix that?
 I miss some chekpoint in the installation process?

 K2 failed to import my joomla data so there is nothing to lose by uninstalling K2. Since I turned on the debugger my site is no longer accessible not even the back end. I can get as far as the joomla administrator login screen but when I log in I just get a blank screen so I can’t uninstall K2. When I try to access the front end from a browser I get the following screen (see Attached). This module has totally disabled my site and may have wiped out many hours of work adding content. If anyone has experience of this type of problem then I would be grateful for any advice on how to recover my site.

  Hi I am new to K2 and installed latest version of Joomla, using default Beez template. I added a few menus, categories and articles also one module (Shackslides). I then installed K2 but have not been able to use any of it as I have errors whenever I do, I tried converting my joomla content and the results came back saying the process had completed but no categories or articles appear in K2. I switched on debugging and opened k2, the following error appeared.
 
 
 500 - **An error has occurred.**

 Things are worse than I thought, after switching on debugging; I no longer have access to my site or the admin. When I login to the backend I just get a blank screen. Hope this is something you can help with??

  I have installed Frontpage Slideshow for the first time using version 3.xx the latest.  The install was successful.  When I go to create a catagory for the slideshow I get the following error message.

 It looks as if the SQL database is not creating the files needed.  I used Akeeba Admin Tools to check the permissions for the fpss direcrectory.  And it states all are 755.  I did change them to 777 but it made no differance.
 
 I check the forum and all errors with FPSSCategory: :store failed relate to other issures.
 
 I need help on figuring this out.

  I migrated all k2 content from one site (J1.5/k2ver2.5.7) to another (J2.5.7/k2ver2.5.7) by copying all tables from one database to another and replacing the respectives suffixes. I also updated the 'created_by' field. Content is present as expected but when usign k2 tools to display a tag cloud it displays nothing and yes, tags are correctly assigned.
 
 By turning on debugging, I got the following message:

  After manipulation on K2 categories (option changes) and the elimination of a group of additional fields, the site is completely out with error messages:
 Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in / xxxxxx/components/com_k2/models/item.php on line 1110
 Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass Could not be converted to string in / xxxxxxxx/administrator/components/com_k2/lib/JSON.php on line 478
 
 I did an update of K2 but instead of fixing the problem, it has created a new one in the administration. Component appears only on the home page but not in the administration menu components while remaining functional.
 
 An idea about the problem?
