Error "JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path:" on fresh install for 1.6 was created by Paul Katcher

I am getting the following error
JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path:
There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery PRO plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder:

This error appears above the article and I can see the short code {gallery}FOLDERNAME{/gallery} in the article text.

There are no special characters in my filenames and the folders and files are there.
I have used this plugin on other sites and works great, this is the first time I have used it on 1.6

I have the same error in J1.5 and I have check the folder path, name and everything is right.
I have both simple image gallery and all videos and the error is showing for both of them.

What else can I do? Thanks in advance!

Well I did something that worked!! Maybe it can work for you too.

I uninstalled de plugin and installed the 2.2 version, (remember I am using J1.5)
Then I updated the JCKEDITOR to 3.4.6 version, I created the article and enter the code for the gallery and It´s working now!

I hope it can help you guys!

I'm getting this error on a Joomla 1.6 install. I've tried everything I can think of. Any help would be appreciated.

Here s the article tag.
{gallery}gallery{/gallery}

This directory exists and has valid images in it.

I am ALSO hav ing this same error -- using Joomla 1.5.23 and the path is perfect, but tells me "JFolder::files: Path is not a folder:" etc.

What is the solution? Just bought this after having the FREE version and now the PRO version is holding me up. :(

Hi,
I bought a simple image gallery pro version 2.5.5 with my paypal. I setup this plugin today. I didn't take any error messages during setup. It works but i have an error at upload image zip.

This error message is below:
"There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery PRO plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder:media/k2/galleries"

I tried to change sig path and gave permission "the media/k2/galleries" but it doesnt appear; always take this error.

Can you help me please?

I changed my hosting. Now i setup Joomla 1.6.6 released version. .I deleted k2 and sig plugin so i will not show my gallery link.
After all setups, i wanna help from you ok?
If i setup k2 2.4.1 version, can i use 2.5.5 sig pro version? Which k2 and sig versions do u offer for joomla 1.6.6 version?

SIG PRO 2.5.5 version is fully compatible to joomla latest versions.

K2 2.5 (which is not stable yet) version is compatible to joomla! 1.6. and 1.7.
If you feel comfortable working with software under development you may use it.
