Hi mate,

you should try posting up the solution on these forums rather than just requesting private access and solving it for that person.
These forums are where us customers will go prior to posting up the question again.
So if it gets solved we wont hassle you for an answer.

I had this problem as well and it was due to me incorrectly zipping a folder with the images in it, rather than just selecting all the images that I wanted and zipping them.

As soon as I did this everything worked perfectly.

Hope that helps someone!!

This problem wouldn't exist if people had read documetation carefully -in most cases...
So I am asking from you to check the main causes and if this doesn't lead anywhere I ask for access...

I have the same problem in Joomla 1.7 with K2 (2.5.4) and SIGpro (2.5.6). Not all the zip-archive can be installed in the article. With Joomla 1.5 nearly no problems.
Under version J1.7 and K2:
If i will install a gallery in an article. often gives an error:

The was a problem converting the source image.
There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: media/k2/galleries/2

If I want to change the gallery, or clear the cache, or cache time expired in the plugin - just shows the error. In the Fronend only visible the text {gallery}2{/gallery}
I tested it on a local PC and on the web-server. With Joomla 1.5 and with 1.7. But only with 1.7 i have problems...

I hope you can help me.

thanks!

I hope this helps some of you, I found a solution on another site.

When creating your zip file do not simply compress a folder, in doing this you are essentially creating a folder in a folder which the plugin can't interpret, and is why the error message comes up.

Instead take your image files do a multiple select then right click and compress those files, which should create an "archive.zip" file, then upload that, hopefully it will work as it did for me.

Admin, consider adding these steps to your documentation, as I didn't see any mention about this step after reading it twice over.
