thanks for your suggestion but it doesn't work either, i'll have to find a workaround to solve the problem... as far as numbering the jpg - every other image file component/module/plugin has read them perfectly in alphabetical order numbering the images - that's the only arrangement way that makes sense for numbered images. My website has images of construction jobs and i want them to be in order from the first day to the last day - and the easiest way is numbering them,

i've been clearing the cache on both the website and the browser every single time i'd change the settings or rename the files, but that didn't help.

thanks anyway, i think i won't get a solution from this forum so never mind - i'll figure it out myself, just thought i paid for customer support too.. and don't have so much time to troubleshoot problems like this when building a couple websites at a time.
