Up to date on SIG-pro, and K2 and Joomla 1.5
Shared hosting environment, server does have GD image installed and verified running correctly by the host.
Thumbnail is blank but you can click and open the gallery and that works as expected.
tinyurl.com/5vvhd38 page link to the affected page.
Thanks in advance for your insight.

The problem was the name of the file that contains blank spaces.
Thanks

I have latest K2 and just purchased the Image Gallery Pro.
my images were named 1.gif, 2.gif, 3.gif, 4.gif, 5.gif, and then zipped together as 1.zip
I uploaded 1.zip and thumbnails show on backend in admin panel of item.
NO GALLERY shows on front end of item.
here is link
outpost54.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&layout=item&id=36&Itemid=225
what's the deal? i emailed support and they said post in forum, so I assume they want to resolve this for the community.
Thanks
Bill

All I did was change the permissions for the root cache folder to 777. I checked the option to delete the previous zip upload. Applied changes. Then reuploaded the zip file and BOOM, I have a gallery.
I don't know what that does for security, but a working gallery is all I care about right now.

1. open the folder the images are in.
2. select all the images
2. now zip the images together
make sure not to zip a folder its the individual files you need to zip together

I've been having this problem as well. Here's what i did:
Rename all the images before zipping them. That means remove all spaces and odd characters. Then zip them in a .zip, and upload it to whatever item you want to use the images in.
There, that's it :)
I hope this solves your problem.
Take care!
