Looks like K2 v3 will be bigger and most relevant than Joomla itself!

A simple road map could end all this anxiety, but inexplicably there is no longer any clue of what's really going here... private dev... ok...

Lately i get the feeling that Jooma is going down in general.
It feels like K2 is becoming part of this trend.

Since Joomla is lacking of a serious native CCK, maybe Joomlaworks should consider to donate K2 V3 to the community and let the Joomla team take over K2 V3 development in order to integrate it to the native Joomla environment.

Well, this was an irony about the mystery regarding K2 V3 develop status.
Anyway there are nothing we can do to get a fair explanation.

That's 4 months away, and by this time the project is 1 year approx from when it was suppose to be launched.

JoomlaDay Brasil 2015 was last weekend. Was there any release date info?

So according the blog article you posted, in one week after Brazil event, you will release 3.0? Is that right?

I am also very interested in the release of 3.0

A couple of questions.

1. Does anyone know if there is an upgrade path from 2.6.9? If so what will it be like?

2. If download the k2 dev version from GitHub github.com/joomlaworks/k2-v3-dev-build will i be able to upgrade it to the stable version when released?


I am pretty sure I know the answers just looking for confirmation, so I do not put in hours of work only to have to start over when 3.0 is officially released.

K2 guys at last Joomla Day said we can easily upgrade any v2.x to new V3, including old templates.

Also said the last beta is "dirty and ugly".

I'm waiting months for V3, so 1 more week is nothing. Better to keep V2 until next few days.

I am starting a new site today and was hoping I could install 2.6.9 and then upgrade to 3.0 when it was ready.

I've been waiting for long as I can remember, just because of ImageMagick support. One week more wait is OK. Really hope it is then ready and stable. :)

They said:

- total control over k2 item images attributes;
- Multiple image galleries for each k2 items;
- Multiple videos for each k2 items.

This will be the longest week from last year or so...

Its strange that we don't have any official reply yet, hope someone reply to know if it going to get released as promised or it will have a delay. Ty in advance!
