We build websites for businesses and smaller corporations. Anytime we need to organize content K2 is our go to extension. We have used it for portfolios, to property listings, to blogs.

Sounds like we can upgrade from 2.6.9 to 3.0 easily we can get started.

- When free stable/final release version of K2 V3 comes to download and use (Just as approximately; In days, weeks or months?)
- And when pro version?
- What is differences between free an pro versions? And what about price tag?

Yes there will be responsive columns. The procedure will be the same as Version 2 with the addition of responsive styles.

There is even a small tutorial on how to create a new extrafield. A demo map extrafield is also there. If you need something you can comment on the repo and of course feel free to create a PR.

Hello Krikor...will the responsive style for columns etc be Bootstrap? If so, will you give us an option in global params to choose Bootstrap 2 or 3?

This (Bootstrap) is something that should be used in the template. Not in an extension. This could lead to some really nasty conflicts.
PS. Joomla!'s default modal has been dropped so there are no more conflicts with older versions of BS2

In terms of the dates, it was Fotis in the K2 Blog that mentioned these timelines:

'...K2 will be available to download the week after the event.

And for the first time in K2 history we also plan to unveil "K2 Pro", a supercharged K2 release with additonal features & business-class support packages, targeted primarily to professionals & agencies. K2 Pro will be introduced a month after K2 v3.0 is released. ...'
