The category structure will not be transfered.
Images are exported as path to the file. so you would have to copy them
somewhere you can reach them from the new page and maybe change the path
in the CSV file.
Some minor fields might not be transfered.
It's bad for business but I give you an other idea:
1. make a full backup of both pages
2. update K2 on Joomla 2.5 to the same version as on J3.3
3. export all k2_* tables via phpmyadmin from J2.5
4. import all this tables to J3.3

Individual IT wrote: If the export does not give an option to convert to UTF8 you can try to import as it is or try to convert it with an external tool (like libreoffice) or convert to UTF8 during import, there is an option for that.
Your first problem is the separator and the encloser. to change that do:
1. Download and Install LibreOffice
2. Open the CSV with LibreOffice
3. check the values are correct
4. Go to File-Save As
5. Select folder and file name
6. select Text-CSV as format
7. check the "Edit filter Settings" box
8. click "Save"
9. select , as field delimiter and " as text-delimiter
10. click OK
11. open the saved file with a text editor and double check it
12. try to import the file
BEFORE EVEN TRYING TO IMPORT MAKE A FULL BACKUP OF YOUR DATABASE AND JOOMLA FILES
Thanks for your support. :)

To get it use the download link you got after buying the extension, if that one is still valid or buy it again: www.individual-it.net/en/Joomla/#27
Check the ratings at JED and rate it yourself: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension-specific/k2-extensions/12408

You need , as field delimiter and " as text-delimiter.
Its best to use LibreOffice for editing the CSV. check the comment of Gabriel getk2.org/community/English-K2-Community/1546-Tool-for-importing--exporting-items-to--from-K2?limit=30&start=210#194102

I am trying to import new K2 items. To test the system, I exported one category of items, and reuploaded the information to another category (same extra field structure).
While all items uploaded, the EFs are completely blank.
I am using joomla 3.0, using the uploader tool from May 2014.

Did any error occur during import?
Please also edit the CSV file and check if the extra fields were correctly exported.
P.S. All fields and values have to exist in the target system.

When uploading, the system didn't seem to recognize the extra fields.

The image path is correct (have tested it multiple times) and i have tried both ways (move images manually to the correct path and zip the csv and the files) but none of those seems to work, have over 850 items with images to each one of those.

@Suprehn Try to import less items per loop. Option: "Import rows per loop" default is 10, try first with 5 and then with 1

your first problem is that the CSV file is not formated correctly. You need a double quote->" around every field. Please check to documentation: www.individual-it.net/en/Instructions-for-K2-Import-Component.html
Is the attached file the direct export or did you edit it? If you edit the file its better to use LibreOffice than Excel because it handles CSV nicer

It is the direct export, i didn't edit at all. Am using libreoffice.
After I permanently deleted some dead categories, it seems to be working now.
